Olympus, has announced 3 new cameras -- the Mju 1060, as well as the FE-370 and FE-360.
The 10 megapixel Mju 1060 is a compact digital camera with optical zoom capabilities of upto 7X. The camera is capable of high-speed 9fps sequence shooting in the 3-megapixel mode, says the company.
It features the TruePic III image processor -- Olympus claims that it helps with faster image handling and higher image quality.
Mju 1060 uses technologies such as Advanced Face Detection, Shadow Adjustment, Enhanced panorama function, and the new Intelligent Auto Mode. It comes with internal memory plus an xD-Picture Card slot which also doubles as a microSD Card slot.
The FE-370 and FE-360, both have an 8-megapixel sensor; however, they essentially differ in two departments: the optical lens and the LCD size. The FE-370 offers 5X optical zoom and an LCD size of 2.7-inch compared to the FE-360 s slightly smaller 2.5-inch LCD size and a standard 3X optical zoom.
Both the cameras have features such as Face Detection, Image Stabilization, different shooting modes, and movie recording with sound (up to VGA resolution at 30fps) among some more options.
Additionally, the FE-370 sports Dual Image Stabilization which claims to make picture-blurs a thing of the past. It also features Advanced Face Detection of up to 16 persons for perfectly focused and exposed faces, says Olympus.
The Mju 1060 (GBP 259.99) will be available in the colors Starry Silver, Midnight Black, or Cyan Green; while the FE-360 (GBP 129.99) comes in four colors: silver, black, blue, and pink, while the FE-370 (GBP 179.99) will be available in two metallic shades: black or silver.
Olympus' Mju 1060 and the FE series would be available in September 2008; although we've received no conformation about a simultaneous release in India.
