The reality tour was aimed at giving consumers an opportunity to have a first-hand experience on some of the very recent products from the company, including Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX and GeForce 8800 GTS graphics processors, and the Nvidia nForce 680i SLI motherboard.
Ujesh Desai, General Manager of Desktop GPUs, Nvidia, said, "We are eager to show our latest flagship technologies to computer users and gaming enthusiasts. Nvidia graphics deliver a powerfully immersive gaming experience, as well as an extraordinary high-definition movie experience."
The tour was held in 23 cities spread across 15 countries, including HyperCity Goregoan - Mumbai, India; Comet - Birmingham, UK; Paradigit - Utrecht, Holland; Media Markt - Munich, Germany; Surcouf Daumesnil - Paris, France; UniEuro Trezzano - Milan, Italy; PC City San Sebasti n de Los Reyes - Madrid, Spain; and StartMaster - Moscow, Russia.
The two days' India reality tour held in Mumbai at HyperCity saw a participation of around 2,000 gamers, which included right from a 9 year old kid to a 30 year old man. Interestingly, one of the winners was also a nine-year-old kid.
In the event, the retail consumers were given a chance to win a PSP for themselves on both the days, while the first prize winner on the concluding day was given the recently launched Nvidia GeForce 8800GTX worth Rs. 42,000. The final round was covered live on Radio Mirchi.
Desai is of the view that the people will be blown away with the working of the new motherboard and graphics processors.
