Nokia has just added two new slider phones to its mid range segment. The new devices announced are the Nokia 6700 Slide and the Nokia 7230, both of which are mid-range handsets targeted at the design conscious consumer. Both the devices are 3G Ready and are optimized for social networking and sharing content over the Internet
Nokia 6700 Slide This device can be a termed a variant of Nokia's existing 6700 classic and is better equipped amongst the two launches today. It features a 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, dual LED flash and social networking abilities within the camera menu. This is a S60 based smartphone (check the screen! Looks like an updated S60 version!) and will appeal to users who do not wish to own an N-Series handset.
The phone also comes in a host of vivid colors and is quite compact in its dimensions - apart from being extremely slim. It boasts of a 2.2-inch screen that is large enough for decent multimedia viewing. However, it could have come with a bigger screen - especially since there is ample space left for at least a 2.4-inch screen. The 6700 Slide will be launched in early 2010 and will be priced at around EUR 160 (Rs. 11,200 approx.)
Nokia 7230 While the Nokia 7230, which is the cheaper of the two devices announced today, it strangely comes with a larger screen than that of the 6700 Slide. The Nokia 7230 comes with Nokia Messaging pre-installed and makes it pretty clear that Social Networking is its forte. Unlike the 6700 Slide, which is an S60 handset, this one runs S40, Nokia's proprietary OS. The phone has easy access to various social networking websites and is 3G ready as well, for faster data transfer.
For imaging purposes, there's an able 3.2-megapixel camera. The memory is expandable with microSD cards. A 2GB card is included in the retail package. Expect this one to make a landfall by early 2010 for EUR 100 (Rs. 7,000 approx.). That should make it an affordable handset.

compare with touch phones and better touch os (android, iphone) phones. nokia phones all are outdated. they loose market share in all segments. premium market goes to android, samsung, htc, even sony too......then mid range phones also comes with touch its also grab by samsung andlg. the third one is low segment many new players entered and gives best than nokia. note it & don't buy these shit. beware
