If you have wondered why Nokia has not launched even a single dual SIM handset, don't worry, you're not alone. We too were bothered as to why Nokia is yet to launch one. Agreed that dual SIM is not a "hot" thing in matured markets (like in Europe), but the likes of Samsung, LG and some other smaller players have a plethora of dual SIM phones out there. Then, we have the Chinese unbranded ones with some phones even boasting triple SIM capacity!
So, while we're wondering why Nokia is yet to announce its dual SIM devices, we have a hint from the usually reliable Eldar Murtazin that by the second quarter of 2010, Nokia will eventually launch its very own line-up on dual SIM phones. Samsung already has a decent lineup of dual SIM devices that includes the likes of theC5212, Samsung B5702, Samsung C3212, Samsung B5722 and Samsung C6112. According to Eldar, a senior Russian official from Nokia has confirmed the news and looks like your wait for a dual SIM Nokia handset will eventually come to an end. Just a few more months! As of now, we have no details if it's an entire line up of Dual SIM phones or just a single handset.
