Nokia NSeries Goes Musical with IMI

Nokia Nseries, the premium multimedia sub-brand from Nokia, joined hands with Indian Music Industry (IMI) to announce "Legends of India".

At an event held in Mumbai today, Nokia Nseries, the premium multimedia sub-brand from Nokia, joined hands with Indian Music Industry (IMI) to announce "Legends of India". "Legends of India" was unveiled by the Ghazal-maestro Jagjit Singh in presence of representatives from the IMI, Universal Music Group, Sony Music India, SaReGaMa India, and Tips Music. Inaugurating "Legends of India", Jagjit Singh, said, "I am glad to be a part of this initiative undertaken by Nokia Nseries and the IMI and wish them the very best in their endeavor towards supporting the music industry." Nokia said that "Legends of India" is a new music offering that is going to come preloaded into the Nokia Nseries music devices, including Nokia N91, N73, and N70. Under this new music offering, 100 evergreen songs from the best of the Indian music will be preloaded on to the Nseries devices. Besides, the songs of over ten music luminaries across genres ranging from popular film music, devotional, ghazals to remixes will be Digital Rights Management (DRM) protected and will enhance consumers' mobile music experience. Talking about the new offering for the Nokia Nseries users, Vineet Taneja, Business Director - Multimedia, Nokia India, said, "The Legends of India offering is a path-breaking initiative that is going to redefine the way consumers enjoy music in this country. It will make our newly-launched Nokia Nseries music edition proposition even stronger since it will enable us to deliver a premium music experience to our consumers." "Music forms a core part of Nokia Nseries value proposition and consumers can now listen to their favourite artists 'On-the-Go' anytime, anywhere at the click of a button. We are confident that our new initiative will contribute towards promoting the music ecosystem at large and help the IMI to regularize the distribution of legal music content. This is just a small step in the big leap we are trying to take," added Taneja. Some of the memorable tracks that will be available as a part of this offering include songs by leading music artists like Jagjit Singh, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle, A R Rahman, Manna Dey, Kishore Kumar, Ghulam Ali, Mohd. Rafi, Geeta Dutt, S D Burman, R D Burman, Sonu Nigam, Alka Yagnik, amongst others. Moreover, the songs can be unlocked using a code available on the scratch card that will be pre-bundled with the Nokia Nseries music edition sales boxes. Speaking on the occasion, Subroto Chatopadhyay, Chairman, IMI, said, "We are pleased to partner with Nokia Nseries and would like to thank them for coming forward with this value proposition for the IMI."

AMAZING Real-time video streaming on Nokia N-series and E-series! You need TWO things: 1) one of the following Nokia phones: E50, E61i, E65, E70, E90, N71, N73, N75, N76, N80, N80i, N81, N91, N93, N93i, N95, 3250, 5500, 5700, 6121 classic, 6120 classic. AND 2) a GPRS connection to the Web Step 1 Using a PC, Go to www.qik.com on the Internet and type in your phone number in the space provided. For an India number, type in: 911234567890 Only numbers are typed. No characters like "+", "-" etc. should be entered. After typing the number, click on the "Get Qik" icon. ALL SUCCEEDING STEPS 2, 3 AND 4 ARE ON YOUR CELL PHONE ONLY AND NOT ON YOUR PC! Step 2 You will get an SMS message with a qik link and an activation code. Note down the activation code on a piece of paper. Then Navigate to the url link on your cell phone SMS message and select it. Alternatively, on cell phones you may have to go to "Options" and "Use Detail" and then open the link "Web address". This will then take you to the browser on your cell phone and open a page where you'll see "Download". Click on "Download" to install the Qik software. Select "Ok" or "Continue" to all questions you are asked along the way and install the software. The whole process should take less than 5 minutes. Once complete, you will see a message stating that Qik has been installed. Step 3 Once the installation is complete, go to the "Applications" folder on your cell phone and look for the "Qik" icon. If it is not in your "Applications" folder, look for the "Qik" icon in your "My Own" folder or use the search feature on your phone to search for "Qik". Once you find the "Qik" icon, click on it. The video Camera gets activated automatically. Step 4 Once your video camera is activated, you will see the word "Stream" on the bottom right hand corner of your screen and the word "Menu" on the Top right hand corner of your screen. Click on "Stream" and you will be asked to enter the activation code you noted down in Step 1. Enter your activation code and start streaming. I am nota tech geek. But I was able to steam my children, husband and myself to my parents in the US. An Incredible feeling!! Try it and see if you like it. The software is free anyway. All your videos are stored on the www.qik.com website. You can make your videos "Private" or "Public" by selecting "Menu" and scrolling down to "viewable by" and selecting "Me only" or "Everyone"

I too bought the N70 ME recently and the screen flickers all the time you play the music...it seems a global bug on N70 or higher...Any resolution to this or better to replace??

I have a nokia N70 ME When I switch on d music player the screen of the music player starts flickering.This flicker occurs only when the music player is on If I run any other application there is no problem.Is this with the entire Nokia N70 ME series or what is it?Can anybody guide me on this.

there are many way to upload songs 1 you can uploud your favourit cd useing nokia pc suite 2 via gprs you can download your songs 3 if your friends have a song in them mobile which has bluetooth you can get it
