Nokia today unveiled its "E Series" devices in India. The newly introduced E series devices include the Nokia E50, Nokia E60, Nokia E61 and Nokia E70

Nokia today unveiled its "E Series" devices in India. The newly introduced E series devices include the Nokia E50, Nokia E60, Nokia E61 and Nokia E70 that will help businesses to mobilise their workforce while optimising productivity. Nokia Enterprise Solutions will support this launch by rolling out a series of market creation initiatives such as expanding geographic outreach, organizing roadshows and seminars.

Highlighting the strategic importance of the E series devices to the overall Nokia range, Devinder Kishore, Director Marketing, CMO, Nokia India said, "Nokia is committed towards its vision of connecting people. The launch of the E series significantly enhances Nokia's smartphone and business devices portfolio. The business-optimized E series devices will help Nokia to extend its brand equity with both professionals and enterprises."

Nokia Enterprise Solutions is designed to help businesses and institutions worldwide improve their performance through extended mobility. The group offers end-to-end solution offerings ranging from business optimized mobile devices on the front end, to a robust portfolio of mobile business optimized gateways in the back end including: Wireless email and device management, Firewalls, Intrusion management and Professional services. Enterprise class devices include the Nokia 9500 Communicator, Nokia 9300 and 9300i, Nokia 6708, and the newly launched E series.

Nokia E series has been designed keeping in mind the pervasive need of business users to stay connected anytime, anywhere. The devices offer secure mobile access, advanced voice and data functionalities and combine productive features of e-mail, connectivity options, superior voice quality with attractive, easy to use designs.

The Nokia E60, Nokia E61, Nokia E50 and Nokia E70 will support popular corporate mobile email solutions like BlackBerry Connect, GoodLink from Good Technology, IntelliSync Wireless Email. The Nokia E60, Nokia E61, Nokia E50 and Nokia E70 also feature superior voice functionality and quality and support advanced voice services, such as Internet (Voice over IP) phone, Push to talk, and other SIP-based rich call services.



The Nokia E50 comes with a Quadband GSM network that works on 5 continents (where GSM networks are supported). It supports leading push email clients, such as Nokia's Intellisync Wireless Email and BlackBerry Connect, giving easy access to emails. Nokia E50 provides fast data connections with EDGE and offers connectivity to compatible PCs and devices via infrared, Bluetooth wireless technology, and USB cable. It has a built-in MP3/AAC player and a 1.3 megapixel camera.

The Nokia E61 is designed in the familiar style of today's most popular mobile email devices. A cinch to use with either hand, the device has a four-way joystick and full keyboard combined with a wide 16 million color screen making mobile email easier than ever before. It supports multiple mobile email clients like BlackBerry Connect, GoodLink, Intellisync Wireless Email, Seven Mobile Mail, Seven Always-On Mail, and Visto Mobile.

The phone offers full attachment handling (documents, spreadsheets, presentations, PDF viewer and ZIP manager) and an editing function (document, spreadsheet and presentation). The Nokia E61 also includes the same advanced business call features and IP-based telephony functions as the Nokia E60 and Nokia E70. The Nokia E61 can send and receive emails, even when on a phone call. The Nokia E61 operates in SM850/900/1800/1900 and WCDMA2100 networks.

The Nokia E70 has a full messaging keyboard easy thumb typing, a color screen for viewing emails, plus attachments (document, spreadsheet, presentation, PDF viewer and ZIP manager) and an editing function (document, spreadsheet, presentation) for staying up-to-date with the inbox. Like the Nokia E60 and Nokia E61, the Nokia E70 supports a common set of applications like advanced voice and email. The Nokia E70 operates in GSM 900/1800/1900 and WCDMA2100 networks.

According to the company sources, all the handstes other than E50, will be available in the price range of Rs 19,000 to Rs 20,000. The cost of E50 will be announced within a few days.

E70 Mobile is having a problem with Joystick I got it replaced during warranty But I am still facing the same problem.I cannot move Down using the joystick and there is no other way to do it.

you did not mention how to go abt intializing ip based gadgets and which phones they are supported,and another thing e60,no fm ,camera?please! And we have a problem with the guys who run nokia franchises in Kenya,they fail to emphasis these very important value added features on the phones ,i think they take there buyers fore granted ,read not knowledgeable hence missing not doing there job of informing us on new products and real value

For the first time they have introduced phones with proper pricing from the start, otherwise they start too high and then come down gradually and so does the quality at times.

You have always used technology in a very innovative way by not only designing you product but also by adding new features to it which other Mobile Manufacures are unable to do so. You always say up to date with new technology even in this competetive market. I which you good luck for you future.
