Gets new golden variant but no additions on the feature front
Nokia has introduced a variant of its famed 8800 Carbon Arte series of premium handsets. The Gold Arte, as the new version is called, shares the same features as its predecessor.
The Gold Arte is obviously aimed at those who would not mind investing insane amounts of money (for a mobile phone) during these recession times. The Gold Arte comes with an 18-carat gold-plated body and leather inserts on the front and the back. It looks as stunning as it could get. However, on the features front, there have been no additions.
Under the skin, it's the same as the Carbon Arte with the identical feature set comprising of the OLED screen, 3.2 megapixel camera, 4GB of memory and 3G support. We'd have loved a memory card slot addition as well.

Nokia has not confirmed a launch date - nor is there an indication of the price range. One thing that we can be very sure about is that this would be one expensive purchase!
