On the connectivity front, there is Bluetooth and tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900MHz) but Wi-Fi seems to be given a miss
After its leaked images made appearance a week ago, the 6208c finally found its way in to the Nokia's Chinese website.
Back then it was called the 6208 Classic. While there is nothing flashy about the handset, (apart from that whacky rear!), one thing that many found intriguing was the touch screen interface the phone sported. It by no means looked like a series 60 device, which makes us think this would obviously be S40. And a touch S40 is something interesting! There has been no announcement on the price or the launch date and as of now and the Chinese website does not seem to list the phone as clicking on its throws in an error page!
As for the phone itself, on the looks front, it falls right up there in the middle, either you love it or hate it. The rear especially seems to be extravagant. It's screen is a 2.4 inch QVGA affair and it sports a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus. In addition, dual-LED flash finds is way in as well. On the connectivity front, there is Bluetooth and tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900MHz). Wi-Fi seems to be given a miss. The battery is an 860mAh one and is estimated to provide 3.5 hours of talk time and up to 12.5 days of standby time.
While this one is headed straight for the Chinese market, it sure does make us ponder if we will see more devices sporting the new UI that is visible on the phone.
