In India now
Remember the Nokia 6208 Classic? The phone was first seen making an entry in to the Chinese markets a few months ago.
Back then though, it was hailed to be a China specific phone and was soon forgotten. The phone has suddenly made a comeback with Nokia announcing its launch here in India. The specialty about this one is that this happens to be the first Series 40 device in India to sport touch input.
The phone sports a 2.4-inch QVGA display, a 3.2-megapixel camera with dual LED flash and 8x digital zoom, multimedia player, FM Radio and handwriting recognition support. It comes with 64MB of internal memory, which can of course be expanded upto 8GB with microSD cards. There is a 3.5mm jack for music buffs on the move. There is no Wi-Fi or 3G, however, it supports EDGE.
Design wise, this might not appeal to everyone with its rather weird looking rear. Full specifications and details of the device can be accessed here. The phone will be priced at Rs. 13,259 and will soon be at a Nokia dealer near you.
