Nokia's yet to be announced low-end slider phone, the 2220 Slide, has made an appearance in photos. The cheap-when-announced, slider phone is a standard Nokia S40-based device that will go on sale later this year at an approximate $100 mark.

As for the features, the phone does pack in quite a few nice features, most of which are let down by the lack of expandable memory. The 128x160 screen is decent enough, there's a 3.5mm jack, FM Radio, Opera Mini and a very basic VGA camera. With 10 MB of internal memory, the phone is unsuitable for multimedia. The phone boasts of 8 hours of talk time, or up to 400 hours of stand-by time.

The 2220 slide would make a decent entry-level phone for the person who wishes to just stay in touch, make some calls and send the occasional text. For anything more, this one is unsuitable.

The talk time of slide phone is really very very low compared to what they claim. I have Nokia 3600 slide phone and maximum standby time is about one and half days. Talk time too is very compared to what they claim!
