Game developer NoWay Studio's upcoming 'first person' shooter (FPS) C.O.R.E. is a 'typical shoot 'em up style' killing spree game, promising "a host of new specialist weapons".

NoWay's debut Nintendo DS-exclusive multiplayer game,
which carries M-rating - one of the few for the gaming platform features mixed flavor derived from Doom, Quake and Wolfenstein 3D. The developers have released a video trailer where a player frags aliens in the earth's center.

Besides the regular arms like shotguns, plasma guns, and rocket launchers, the game promises different sound tracks for different environments and atmosphere.

The trailor teases some more "interactive tools and objects", which hopefully doesn't involve pushing buttons to open doors or swipe entry cards. This multiplayer game joins the other DS-exclusive FPS shooters - Call of Duty 4, GoldenEye: Rogue Agent, and Metroid Prime: Hunters.

No details on release date, but this game does look like urging to bring Doom and Quake style multiplayer gaming experience on Nintendo DS platform. Still it's quite unsure whether the game's performance will differ on the newly launched Nintendo DSi.
