As of now, the new mobile games are available only through US carriers except for "Yahtzee Adventure", which is available via iTunes as well.
EA Mobile, the mobile gaming arm of Electronic Arts (EA), has announced five new mobile games; namely, Sims 2 Castaway, The Sims Pool, Monopoly Here and Now, Yahtzee Adventure, and the mobile version of popular American TV show Merv Griffin's Crossword.
"Sims 2 Castaway" is set against the backdrop of a remote island complete with jungles, lagoons, and beaches. "The Sims Pool" meanwhile is claimed to be one button-controllable, allowing for easier game play as well as character customization. In "Monopoly Here and Now", you get to buy and sell property while in "The Yahtzee Adventure" you get to go globe-trotting. Whereas popular American TV show, "Merv Griffin's Crossword" has been morphed into a mobile version wherein you can choose and customize the avatar of your choice.
Earlier on, EA had introduced "Sims Bowling" exclusively for the iPod. You can read about it here. EA Mobile already has in its kitty Tetris, Doom, Jamdat, and mobile versions of other EA biggies like FIFA 08 and NFS Pro Street. Although the mobile versions are said to be not as graphically intensive as the original versions.
