The interface arms the card with fast read/write speeds of up to 45MB per second on average, making consecutive shooting and non-stop video recording with DSLR's a breeze.

Following demand for larger capacity, higher-speed memory cards, Transcend has released its new Extreme Speed 300X CompactFlash (CF) card that operates in dual-channel Ultra DMA mode 5, claimed to be the fastest speed available for CF cards.

The interface arms the card with fast read/write speeds of up to 45MB per second on average, making consecutive shooting and non-stop video recording with today's digital single lens reflex (DSLR) cameras easier than ever, according to Transcend.

The new CF card is built with an advanced hardware ECC (Error Correction Code) for glitch-free data communication and prevention of data corruption or missing files.

Extreme Speed 300X CF cards are available in 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB capacities priced at Rs 3,800; Rs 7,500; and Rs 16,500 respectively. All cards come along with a three-years warranty.

Additionally, Transcend has announced availability of two new high-capacity versions, 16GB and 32GB, of its JetFlash V20 flash drive. The JetFlash V20 bundles the JetFlash elite software suite offering Web site auto-login, PC-lock, secret-zip, email, data backup, and online update.

The 16GB and 32GB versions of JetFlash V20 are available for Rs 4,600 and Rs 9,300 respectively. The older versions are available for Rs 395 for 1GB; Rs 650 for 2GB; Rs 1,075 for 4GB; and Rs 2,100 for 8GB.

" non-stop video recording with today's digital single lens reflex (DSLR) cameras" That would be a lie, unless Transcend also created a DSLR that does video recording to go with the CF card!
