The new MacBooks and MacBook Pros feature the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors, larger hard drives, and greater memory -- among others.

Apple has announced new and improved MacBook and MacBook Pro notebooks that feature the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors, larger hard drives, and greater memory -- among others.

In a separate announcement, the company has also released iPhone software version 1.1.4; now available for download and installation through the iTunes digital music store.

Meanwhile, Apple's newbie MacBook Pros (three models) feature: latest Intel Core 2 Duo technology with up to a 2.6 GHz processor with 6MB of shared L2 cache; up to 4GB of 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM memory and up to 300GB hard drive; and Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT graphics with up to 512MB of video memory.

The latest MacBook Pros also sport: a trackpad with multi-touch gesture for pinch, rotate, and swipe; and an illuminated keyboard and built-in ambient light sensor.

The company's latest line of MacBooks (three models) feature: a 13-inches glossy wide-screen display; faster processors; larger hard drives (120GB or 160GB 5400 rpm in the 2.1GHz and 2.4GHz models, and 250GB 5400 rpm in the third model); and greater memory (2GB standard memory expandable up to 4GB).

Every new MacBook and MacBook Pro includes a built-in iSight video camera; Apple's MagSafe Power Adapter; latest generation 802.11m wireless networking; built-in 10/100/1000 BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet; Bluetooth; analog and digital audio inputs and outputs; USB 2.0; FireWire; and built-in SuperDrive.

And in keeping with the Apple Mac feature set, every Mac comes with iLife'08 comprising a new version of iPhoto and iMovie; Leopard operating system that introduces Time Machine; re-designed Finder; Quick Look; Spaces; all new desktop with Stacks; and enhancements to Mail and iChat.

All new MacBook and MacBook Pro models are now shipping, and will be available through the Apple Store at www.apple.com, Apple retail stores, and Apple Authorized Resellers.

For a quick run-down on the prices:
The 2.1 GHz, 13-inch white MacBook is priced at $1,099
The 2.4 GHz, 13-inch white MacBook is priced at $1,299
The 2.4 GHz, 13-inch black MacBook is priced at $1,499
Whereas:
The 2.4 GHz, 15-inch MacBook Pro is priced at $1,999
The 2.5 GHz, 15-inch MacBook Pro is priced at $2,499
The 2.5 GHz, 17-inch MacBook Pro is priced at $2,799

In yet another announcement, Apple has announced a new iPod game now available for purchase and download from its iTunes digital music store.

Titled "Bubble Bash", the game is compatible with third generation iPod nanos and iPod classics and fifth-generation video iPods.

"Bubble Bash" is a fun color-matching game that borrows a leaf out of the arcade classic, 'Bust-a-Move'. The game sees players tossing multi-colored bubbles into the sky to match three or more of the same color. Players need to created color co-ordinated sets before their time runs out. There's also a bubble-aided treasure hunt set against the backdrop of a tropical rain forest to add to their excitement.

Play with it for two days. Cry within 2 months when it gets outdated and for two years on the amount spent on one of these. A tech item will never bring you joy folks.
