Epson has announced the launch of EMP-DM1, their new all-in-one projector for the Indian market.
This product is designed for users who crave for the big screen, but hate the fuss of wires. The EMP-DM1 packs a high quality projector with a pair of 8-watt stereo speakers and a full-featured DVD player.
Weighing 3.8kg, the EMP-DM1 is almost half the size of its predecessor. It can be used for a wide range of applications namely, home entertainment, corporate meeting room, and classroom.
According to Epson, the new projector will appeal users with the instant home theatre proposition and please the minimalists with lack of excessive wiring. Users have to simply plug in the power, slide in the DVD, and start enjoying movies. The operations are also kept straightforward with a user-friendly interface.
The built-in 8-watt stereo speakers support major audio formats including virtual surround sound, including Dolby Digital and DTS Digital Surround.
Apart from DVD, the optical disc player is also capable of playing a wide range of video formats including DivX, Video CD and Super Video CD.
The EMP-DM1 can also replace home mini sound systems with its ability to play audio CDs, MP3, and WMA files, the company said.
For meetings and classroom purposes, the projector sports various connectivity options that allow direct laptop connection. It features a USB port for playback from USB flash drives, which can be useful for presenting JPEG images, DivX videos or full multimedia presentations.
In addition, the projector also packs a lens with 1.35x digital zoom lens for zooming into details.
The Epson EMP-DM1 all-in-one projector is available for a price of Rs. 61,300.
