Western Digital's newest external dual-drive storage system has now been launched in the country. Read on to find out more.
Western Digital's (WD) newest external dual-drive storage system "My Book Mirror Edition" has now been launched in the country.
Originally launched in mid-June, this new edition storage drive packs a RAID-based continuous data protection feature called Mirroring, which enables automatic storing of personal content twice for maximized data safety. Available in 1TB and 2TB capacity, it ships in Mirrored mode and uses half the capacity for file redundancy. Morevoer, users can also choose to use the full capacity of this system by reconfiguring the drive to RAID 0 (Striped) mode. With RAID 0, users can have up to 2 TB of storage.
Further, the new edition storage drive bundles backup software that allows users to simultaneously save a change and have it backed up on the second drive. Formatted for Windows computers, these new storage systems feature:
WD's new My Book Mirror Edition dual-drive storage system is now available in 1TB and 2TB capacity for a starting price of Rs 16,500 with three-year warranty.
