MySpace Music to Partner With Amazon

MySpace Music service is expected to launch this September 2008.
MySpace Music, the venture that was announced in February this year, will probably partner with Amazon to handle its online commercial business.
According to a source, the other players vying for this allotment are Apple and Rhapsody, but a final decision hasn't yet been made, reports TechCrunch.
MySpace Music will allow users to stream (ad-supported) music on demand, create playlists, and add widget music players to their profiles. It will also offer DRM-free downloads, which will be either advertising-supported, or by payment.
In order to keep the revenue flowing from all dimensions, there's a possibility of MySpace Music offering MySpace Music ring tones, concert tickets, as well as merchandise, along with the music.
MySpace CEO Chris DeWolfe has announced that the MySpace Music service would launch in September this year.
