Motorola Unveils MotoYuva Next

Techtree News Staff, Feb 04, 2008 1833 hrs IST

Enhanced with additional features, the MotoYuva W230 promises to be an improvement over its predecessor, the MotoYuva W180.

Motorola has launched the next iteration of its flagship MotoYuva series; the MotoYuva W230.

Enhanced with additional features, the MotoYuva W230 promises to be an improvement over its predecessor, the MotoYuva W180.

For starters, it has an on-board MP3 player and quick access to music control with dedicated music keys. It comes with up to 2GB expandable memory for storing up to 500 songs.

Also unlike the W180, the W230 has the capability to synchronize with Windows Media Player Version 11 and later to enable transfer of MP3 audio files from the computer to the mobile phone.

The MotoYuva W230 features integrated stereo FM radio like the MotoYuva W180 but sports added abilities such as recording short FM radio clips in mono for use as the phone's alarm, sharing FM stations via SMS with friends, and transferring music with T-Flash and USB 1.1.

The W230 is GPRS-enabled; not so the W180. The new MotoYuva has features such as currency converter, calculator, and calendar with event reminder.

The phone weighs-in at 83g, and sports a large 128 x 128 65K display with changeable front plate. It has Hinglish Predictive Text, Indian ring tones, and wallpapers, among others. Integrated CrystalTalk technology enables users enjoy clear sound even in noisy environments.

Other features of the MotoYuva W230 include user friendly messaging technology, up to 550 minutes talk time and 450 hours standby time, and phone book memory for storing up to 500 names and 500 SMS.

The MotoYuva W230 is immediately available at all Motostores and retailers for a best buy price of Rs 3,050 (MRP Rs 3,247). The inbox accessories include a 256MB memory card, a USB cable, and a stereo headset.

i bought this mobile two weeks ago and i am very much satisfied with this from moto.disadvantages 1.screen quality is bad .just colour cells from moto past years are very good in this aspect. but i think this lapse give benefit of more battery life. 2.looks of the mobile are average. .......and some minors as every mobile obvious will have advantages cost 2900 1.the first thing is common sense because all these days no mobile has come with only mp3 without 0.3pixel cam.this cell has given broad scope for starters who like music 2.mp3 player is awesome.we get 256 mb card free 3.i have never read in any site that ihis cell supports mp3 ringtones.but can set your fav. song as ringer with two presses 4.sreen as always is scratch proof so i am venkat signing off go for this mobile if you are a starter in mp3 section and enjoy fm and mp3 bye.......

Battery backup is really poor, even I have not played MP3, FM and attended only 15-20calls in two days after charging full 04hrs, it will not last for 48hrs. ( I have purchased the mobile from go-mobile store 15days back in Delhi City), pls don't buy it.
