Receives product verification from Blu-ray Disc Association

Moser Baer announced that it has received product verification from the Blu-ray Disc Association for its next generation Blu-ray (BDR) 1x-6x discs.

With this certification, Moser Baer has become the first company outside Japan to develop and ship BDR 1x-6x media. The company is headquartered in New Delhi.

In recent times, Moser Baer has established itself as an affordable CD/DVD manufacturer, thanks to its own manufacturing unit, hence proving to be an ideal option against piracy.

The next generation BD formats have a capacity ranging from 25 GB to 50 GB and offer more than five to ten times the data storage capacity of standard DVD media. These formats offer an ideal solution for reliable business backup, including medical and government imaging, photography, videography, as well as high-definition video recording.

The BDR 1x-6x discs enable customers to have a faster media recording. Typically, this will allow a 2-hour transmission equivalent of HD (High Definition) quality video or data to be recorded in less than 20 minutes.

It offers full movie VCDs for Rs 28 onwards and DVDs are priced Rs 34 onwards.

If the company plans to manufacture the BDS in India, which it most likely will, get set for a relatively affordable Blu-ray disk experience on your super-expensive Blu-ray disc player!
