More On Duke's Trilogy

Techtree News Staff, Jul 17, 2008 2035 hrs IST

Terry Nagy, Apogee Software CEO, unveils more about Duke's Trilogy.

We had reported sometime back about Apogee Software and Deep Silver's venture to release Duke Nukem Trilogy for PSP and DS. Terry Nagy, CEO, Apogee Software shared more details about Duke Nukem Trilogy.

  • All three games will include action in isometric, isometric 3D and side scroller (on DS) modes. The DS will have third-person over the shoulder type and cover & fire styled game play with side-scrollers. While the PSP version will have third-person, first-person and top-down scroller game play modes.

  • View will be game-directed, rather than instead of user-controlled.

  • In the first game, called Critical Mass, Duke will be armed with kick-ass futuristic weapons.

  • In Chain Reaction, Duke is placed in current day Earth situation with cool weapons.

  • Proving Grounds may carry backdrop of Forrest Gump's WW II scene with period weapons.

  • ESRB rating: PSP version will have mature rating for more mature and hardcore gamers. The DS version will have Teen rating.

  • Duke will have first person, and third person over-the-shoulder action modes and of course, the jetpack. Added to that, miniguns and pipe bombs will make a comeback.

  • Expect these games by 2009's summer.
