Believe it or not! A team of Scottish scientists have developed a prototype of 'magic wand' phones that can locate people as well as predict the weather. This new technology may enable the device to obtain information from around the globe once it is waved in the air like a wand.
Professor Roderick Murray-Smith of the University of Glasgow is spearheading the team of scientists, who are working for Nokia on the point-and-find software. According to him, these phones may be available on the shelves by the end of this year.
"We are working on linking people onto the World Wide Web in the real world, so they can use social networking sites to locate their friends in the real world, or point their phone at a building or a bus terminal and find out the right information," said Murray.
