Hundreds of laptops are stolen each month. According to Industry sources, 97 per cent of stolen computers are never recovered and 57 per cent corporate crimes are linked to them.
Gone are the days when people used to steal jewelery and other valuables. Thieves also seem to have moved on with the rest of the world; they're now eyeing on gadgets such as mobile phones and laptops.
When a gadget is stolen, it is not just the physical loss but also the loss of valuable and sensitive information that it stores. So the need of the hour is a system that can be used to track stolen gadgets like mobile phones and laptops. There are some companies already offering such systems, and one of them is Micro Technologies.
What if the thief does not connect to the internet ??
