Meridian Mobile announced the launch of 5 models of mobile phones under the brand name Fly, in the Indian market.

Meridian Mobile, a part of the UK-based Meridian Group has announced the launch of 5 models of mobile phones under the brand name Fly, in the Indian market. The company also plans to launch 15 new models by end of 2006.
Reportedly, the company has launched the Fly GSM phones in Maharashtra, Delhi, Rajasthan and the eastern regions. The five new models are priced between Rs 8,490 and Rs 10,990. The company expects to sell about three million handsets globally, with India accounting for good numbers.
Commenting on the low priced phones, Rajiv Khanna, CEO, Meridian Mobile, said that the lower priced models of mobile phones will be launched in the Indian market shortly. There are planning to launch 1 or 2 models every month that will target the youth and customers in the replacement market.
Khanna added that the company has chosen Model/Actress Malaika Arora Khan as the brand ambassador in India. Around two million handsets are sold every month in India, out of which, about 70 per cent of the market comprise of entry-level handsets. Therefore, the company is targeting at consumers who are willing to spend about Rs 7,500 and above for a handset and this accounts for about 15 per cent of the overall market.
According to Meridian Mobile, Fly phones are presently available at 1,500 retail shops in India and they are aiming at 5,000 by the end of 2006. The company has tied up with retail chains like Pantaloon and Subhiksha for store in a store.
Also, the company is expecting 3-5 percent of market share in India and plans to invest around Rs 9 crores in marketing this year.

Bsnl Dont have settings for GPRS service for Fly B700 model. It Give error in connection on Laptop for GPRS dial up connection. Backup of phonebook and Sms is not easy/ possible with provided PC sync software (On card software provided with phone as well as with net downloded software too). Give the solution

hi, you can go to fly web and go to India flag, got to download tab, there all drivers and pc sync are available for all models, but the catch is none of the gprs providers in India, especially, are able to connect you to net through fly, i mean you can surf net, mails etc. on phone by entering respective access point name in data connection settings, but connecting the phone to pc and get through net is not possible somehow, on fly web there are no solutions provided for any question. even after downloading so called pc suite you will not get maximum performance, we can say in all its an ok dual sim phone which gives, at times, poor sound receiving and sending while talking through slave sim.

I have a v100 too. You see, they have written on the box that mp4 format is supported but that's not true. It can only support the format in which it can 'record videos'. i searched on the net and found that most chinese sets play a certain format of video called mjpeg and i got the specifications from a site on how to format any video. If you like to know then email me and i'll mail you the specifications of the format and also a video converter which you can use to convert video files.

Hello, Sunil I have also same problem as your phone have. I given my phone to Service Center in Mumbai but it is still to be repair and they again asking for more time. So, My suggestion is that you don't give it to Service Centre and try it repair from other electrical hub sources. My request you that whenever you get repaired your phone so please inform me from where you repaired

hi guys, i've been using v60i for 5 months now. its a great value for money.. to transfer songs or any data to ur phone, u cannot directly connect ur phone to pc with a data cable.. buy a card reader and read ur memory card using the card reader,, it works fine.. (put ur music in the folder in ur card called "my music").. thank me if this works.. :) mail me ..

I bought FLY B700 mobile phone at Chennai, which is Dual Sim mobile. This mobile featuring CAmera, MP3, Video Player, GPRS, Email etc., Iam using AIRCEL & AIRTEL in my mobiles. When I approched AIRCEL service centre to activate GPRS in my mobile, they told me setting is not available for this mobile. Even I also approahed to activate AIRTEL LIVE in my mobile I get the same reply. Sound effects in head set is not good compared to your other fly sets. Kindly give clear clarification to activate GPRS in my mobile & also can I get the head at your service centre.

hi, none of the gprs providers in India, especially, are able to connect you to net through fly B700, i mean you can surf net, mails etc. on phone by entering respective access point name in data connection settings, but connecting the phone to pc and get through net is not possible somehow, on fly web there are no solutions provided for any question. even after downloading so called pc suite you will not get maximum performance, we can say in all its an ok dual sim phone which gives, at times, poor sound receiving and sending while talking through slave sim.

hi, go to fly web download pc sync and you can download data, phone book, sms etc to your comp. but you will never be able to connect to net through fly B700, i.e. on phone you can but phone may not connect your pc to net, in India, i suppose, and manufacturer is hardly interested in providing solutions to end user.

I purchased Fly - 210 before 10 months. I submitted mobile phone to service center because its display has been broken due to my misuse, but it is already taken one month to be repair and they told me display is not in stock and it will come all over form Chennai and; they are not giving me right information about how much time they required to repair display.

I bought a fly phone V90, ten months back from a shop at CMH Road, opp to Meghasagar hotel. The phone got very nice look and functions, only problem is, it some time go swithoff when call comes in. I enquired at a authorised service centre of fly at 13th Cross, Indiranagar(now it has shifted to someware else), They told me, software to be changed, but no guarentee that the board may damaged. I had purchased fly sl600 on date.6th march 2007 from Big Bazaar, which one gave to Accel Frontline Ltd for having display problem on date 7th July 2007 at ahmedabad wide id no.ahm-fl-205450-cp on date.07/07/2007.which is yet to received after several reminders. After I spent much money for this type of mobile why I should not get proper servicing by your service center, what's the problem? This is to Vikas......don't rely on the internet too much. I did and was confused to the point of craziness. There is always a luck factor when u buy a gadget, don't go by what people r saying....I bought the phone because the price and features suited me. My previous phone was a Sony Ericsson and i still love it..but it also reached the end the end of its capacity after 2 years of use. Go ahead and listen to your heart and your pocket!

download fly phone sute software install it and you will see that when you download fly phone suit folder naming driver is there when you connect to com port use it as its driver for serch then go to controal panel and goto phone and modem enter your area code then add modem by setting it to choose manuallygoto program file ---------->phone suit inside it u will see modem file install it and give it to com port no 3 or whichever is below com1 add new net connection and go surfing contract if you have any problem 9897637134

First u connect ur mobile using the USB cable to ur PC. it will ask for the CD, u insert the cd and install thats all.

hey u can switch on the speaker only when u r on a call.there is no option to switch on speaker when u r dialling. once the call is connected(i.e da oder person starts speakin) u ll get an option on the right bottom side.
