MSN India recently launched five new portals; MSN Hindi, MSN Tamil, MSN Telugu, MSN Kannada, and MSN Malayalam.
As part of its sixth anniversary celebrations, MSN India recently launched five new portals; namely MSN Hindi, MSN Tamil, MSN Telugu, MSN Kannada, and MSN Malayalam at www.msn.co.in/hindi, www.msn.co.in/tamil, www.msn.co.in/telugu, www.msn.co.in/kannada, and www.msn.co.in/malayalam respectively. The portals were launched by renowned singer, Shubha Mudgal.
The company also unveiled Windows Live Messenger in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. The move is aimed at helping users chat in regional languages with friends and family on MSN Messenger.
While the Windows Live Messenger platform remains the same as before, there is now the facility for users to deploy Hindi and other regional languages. For this purpose, multiple keyboards options have been made available along with language packages at: http://www.bhashaindia.com
The new features of Windows Live Messenger are integrated with the MSN portal, and offer 'desi' content, including movies with previews, interviews with stars, etc. The new MSN portals too, feature the latest news with a special focus on local news, Infotech, Astrology, Sports, Recipes, and Humor.
Speaking at the occasion, Jaspreet Bindra, country head, MSN India and Windows Live, said, "With the launch of MSN Hindi and MSN in other regional languages, and the new languages feature on Windows Live Messenger, MSN India continues its drive to provide MSN services and products to its users in their regional languages. This initiative is just the beginning in providing users with features which bring them closer to their loved ones."
Adding to it, Raj Nayak, chief executive officer, NDTV Media, said, "A large number of users of the online medium would love to have an interface that allows them to communicate as they would face to face. With MSN Hindi and MSN in other regional languages, every user will have quality content in their choice of language, as well as communicate in their mother tongue through Windows Live
Messenger."
Earlier, MSN India launched its new Homepage, along with Windows Live Domains.
While the new and improved homepage features better graphics, value adds such as language editions plus additional channels, and intelligently integrated advertisements; with Windows Live Domains, users can now have their own domain names, and create an unlimited number of accounts in the respective domain.
Also introduced as part of the sixth anniversary celebrations is the Munnabhai Bot on Windows Live Messenger, which allows users to add Munnabhai on their Windows Live Messenger, and enjoy hilarious 'Munnabhai ishtyle' interaction.
