Lexmark Launches the P6250

Lexmark, the printer manufacturer, has launched the P6250 targeted at home users for their photo printing needs.

The Lexmark P6250 enables a consumer to print, scan, fax and get instant photograph prints, at the click of a button. According to the company the P6250 Home Photo Center All-in-One is the answer to a consumer's need for printing instant photographs in the comfort of their own homes.
Lexmark maintains that the P6250 delivers great results with Evercolor inks. Evercolor is a six-color hybrid ink system that combines the broad color gamut of dyes with the permanence of pigment inks. According to the company, consumers can print brilliant photos that last longer without fading than traditional photos under display conditions and more than 200 years storage in photo albums.
The hub of the photo printer is located at the front and center at the 2.5-inch color LCD display, with features like count down timer, print preview and built-in video instructions.
The printer comes with software that helps novice users execute photo editing features such as red-eye reduction, cropping and re-sizing, when attached to the PC. The P6250 offers blue LED lights that serve as a reminder of where your document should be placed when scanning.
The P6250 offers on-board camera card readers, supports PictBridge technology and features six-color output with borderless capabilities. Images can be produced with resolution of up to 4800 x 1200 dots per inch.
An embedded storage compartment within the P6250 accommodates a replacement cartridge, so the user can always have an extra one close-at-hand.
The printer is available at an inaugural price of Rs 7999. This printer is available at all Lexmark authorized retail outlets.
