Looks like Lenovo has taken some inspiration from the conceptual triBook. The upcoming CES will see a first-of-its-kind laptop that will have a dual LCD screen designed by Lenovo, which is dubbed as the Mobile Workstation ThinkPad W700ds and which will have a huge 17-inch primary screen and a slide-out 10.6-inch secondary screen.

However, this revolutionary mobile device demands strong arms as well as deep pockets. It weighs a hefty 4.98 kilos - almost double the weight of a standard 17-inch notebook - and pricing starts from $3,600.

Commanding such a price, Lenovo has made sure that their notebook doesn't look overpriced. It features a choice of Intel's Core 2 Quad processors and a Nvidia Quadro FX 3700M GPU that gives the power of CUDA parallel processing. The RAM can be maxed to 8GB (DDR3), and it has a couple of HDD/SSD bays for cramming up to 960GB storage space.

W700ds also features a built-in WACOM digitizer - an electronic drawing pad.

The 17-inch screen has a brightness rated at 400 nits, making it brighter than any other notebook available in the market; on the other hand, the 10.6-inch screen will display content vertically and will be able to tilt up to 30 degrees.
