Lenovo Introduces ThinkPad X30l

A direct competitor to Apple's MacBook Air, the X301 is touted to be the thinnest and lightest full-function notebook in its class.
Lenovo has announced the launch of ThinkPad X301 notebook PC, another competitor to Apple's MacBook Air, from the ThinkPad X300 series. The X301 is touted to be the thinnest and lightest full-function notebook in its class.
The 13.3-inch ThinkPad X301 promises cutting-edge features and technologies packed in a thin and lightweight notebook, weighing less than three pounds and measuring one-inch. It offers storage capacity with choices of either 64 GB or new 128 GB solid-state drive storage. Equipped with DDR3 memory and the latest Intel Core 2 Duo ultra low-volt processor U9300 (1.2GHz) and U9400 (1.4GHz), both with a 6MB L2 cache and 1066MHz FSB, the device claims to provide, on average, nearly 20% percent better performance over its predecessor, the ThinkPad X300.
With both DisplayPort and VGA support, it will enable users to watch high definition content on multiple displays. It also packs an ultra-thin DVD burner. For connectivity, it offers high-speed mobile broadband and WiFi and also features Bluetooth and Ultra-Wideband technology for wireless connectivity.
The notebook also includes Lenovo's ThinkVantage Technologies - hardware-software tools to maximize user productivity and Access Connections tool - to navigate a user-friendly interface to find and access Internet and network connections.
Pricing for ThinkPad X301 starts at approximately $2,599 and is scheduled to be available on August 26 on the company website and through Lenovo Business Partners.
