The major plus point of Cookie, the newbie in the touchscreen market, is its price, which is around half that of iPhone
We all have seen the teaser ad for the new LG Cookie where the girl uses her fingers to operate the phone. The Cookie is the newest phone to jump onto the touchscreen phone bandwagon, where your fingers now replace the stylus; it will shortly be launched in India. The UI of the Cookie is designed to be completely finger-friendly with clickable on-screen buttons and icons on the home screen, which can be moved around with the swipe of a finger. We have also been seeing touchscreen phones from Nokia, such as the eagerly awaited 5800 XpressMusic and the N97, which also focus on finger-based navigation. So where did this sudden trend in finger-based touchscreen navigation in phones come from? Who exactly is responsible for bringing about this welcome change? Well, the Apple iPhone, of course.

The reviewer Definitly needs to get his HEADings right. You shouldnt be even comparing these two. They are a class apart.

This title is actually copied from a review of a international site. Except for the touch screen functionality it would be unfair to compare the both.LG cookie is a phone at the base lower rung of the ladder--meant for masses who want a touch screen phone at a kind of affordable price. Judge the cookie by its own merits and you maybe would see some value it it.

I read this article about LG's Cookie phone...but the author has nothing to say about it after the first para. Goes on to say why the "i-phone" killers wont succeed. Write relevant stuff dude ! Sorry but it was a sheer waste of time after the "misleading" heading !

"The major plus point of Cookie, the newbie in the touchscreen market, is its price, which is around half that of iPhone" Price : Rs. 13,990. Specs, a normal phone(camera, SD, music, FM, email, IM. etc ) with touchscreen, nothing spectacular!!!! i dont understand how its the cheapest phone 14K is cheap, no ways!, ill buy a motorola a1600(ming 2) for 15K with linux and GPS(Free!!!!) a much better 3mpx camera with AF and MOD it and then say its the cheapest Phone(it would be the best in VFM category!!!) i guess MotoYUVA A810(can run android, go to youtube) is the cheapest phone 7.25K, though it has specs of Nokia 3500c, (it has all, but low profile), but the cookie is double the price and not double with the specs. though LG has released some of the best touchscreen phones but i PERSONALLY dont think this as VFM! and hey, its not an iphone killer, dont mention stuff like its half the price of iphone, it doesnt have functionality(interface dept.) like the iPhone. it doesnt have music player and camera like phone and you cannot jail break it ROFL. and if u still say it VFM explain it to ME!!

The Cookie is not the cheapest touchscreen phone per se but it is the cheapest among the ones to have a full touchscreen interface giving prominence to finger based navigation, a trend which the iPhone started.
