Australian company Krome has announced the launch of the Krome Spy, calling it the world's smallest Microsoft Windows enabled PDA.
The Krome Spy has been first launched in the country and will be internationally launched next month. It is targeted at business travelers and includes MSN Messenger, Outlook Express, Internet Explorer, Organizer, 1.3 mega pixel camera, Windows Media Player 10.
The PDA is 5.8cm wide, 10.8cm deep, 1.81cm in height, weighs 150g, has a 2.8" wide touch sensitive screen and comes for a maximum retail price of Rs 28,999.
The hardware design is in the Windows Mobile Phone Edition mould, with call and end buttons beneath the screen, accompanied by a navigation button with a nested enter key, plus shortcuts to the built-in calendar and contacts applications.
The right-hand edge of the device houses the stylus and sports a power button. On the left-hand side is a volume slider and buttons for one touch access to notes application/firing up the built-in digital camera.
The front of Krome Spy is black ash in appearance and has a ridged side section that makes it easy to grip. The lithium-polymer battery is removable and is able to deliver talk time from 3.5 - 5 hrs and stand by time is 180 hrs.
The tri-band GSM/GPRS unit, has 64 MB RAM, 416MHz Intel PXA272 processor and comes with the usual array of Windows Mobile applications.
