The Internet is overloaded with several flash-based casual gaming portals. Indian casual gaming online just got spicier with the launch of Rupiz Infotech's online gaming portal - Koffii. Currently in Alpha stage, the portal offers user interactivity features like chat (text, video or voice), videos, photos, blogs and meeting people apart from games. Putting all these features in one page, Koffii intends to create a Social Gaming Network.

A user registers for free and gets credited with 1000 BEANZ, Koffii's virtual currency. Users can earn more beanz by using different features of the portal. On reaching fixed redemption level of beanz, the user can redeem beanz with free gifts from the redemption center.

Still in the Alpha stage, Koffii carries the desi flavour as the home page shows a game titled "Laloo ki Ladli". Iconic politician Laloo Prasad Yadav's love for farm animals is amusingly dramatized. In the game he tries to get married his beautiful and pampered buffalo 'Ladli' in plush style. Another interesting game is Mission IIM, which is about an MBA aspirant's route to the IIM.

The concept of virtual currency, called Beanz here, is age-old and already used by vintage sites like Games2win and Hungama Games. While casual gamers will certainly enjoy playing the desi-flavored games, Koffii still has long way to go.
