Kingston Technology has announced it's second product in the DDR3 overclocking market -- ultra low-latency PC3 1375MHz DDR3 HyperX memory modules.
These are also the first production DDR3 modules to achieve CL5 at PC11000 frequencies (1375MHz), according to Kingston.
Rajesh Panicker, country manager India, Kingston Technology, said, "Our new HyperX DDR3 ultra low-latency modules give early adopters and performance enthusiasts the opportunity to push their DDR3 motherboards as far as current memory technology will allow. With new chipsets on the horizon, Kingston is positioning HyperX to be the go-to memory for all DDR3 needs for gaming and mainstream systems."

Wow!! Does a RAM really make that much of a difference to be worth 23.5k/GB? I mean, isn't it the memory that matters more? But the cost really makes me curious. If a few professionals are buying this, then, it must have something that we overlook... In a RAM?!!

"With new chipsets on the horizon, Kingston is positioning HyperX to be the go-to memory for all DDR3 needs for gaming and mainstream systems." with a price quote of 47000 INR for 2Gb memory, which is the price of a new system, frankly i don't see it becoming mainstream anytime soon. As for gamers, instead of splurging 47K on 2GB RAM why wouldn't they go for Geforce 8800GTX card and get RAM from some other brand?

COOL product but isnt it toooo costlier 1 would prefer going for a GeForce 8800 (codenamed G80) for a perfect gaming experience with a combined RAM 1gb DDR II clocked @ 1066Mhz and a intel core2Duo or a Quad processor

What if i told you that you are absolutely right but i'll have to buy this RAM against my wish? Yes,i am that idiot who bought a P5K3-Deluxe motherboard instead of P5K-Deluxe. After fitting the motherboard i realized that the 3 in P5K3 stands for DDR3 support only. And i am seeing the prices for the first time and you can probably feel my body shaking. **** no i am ruined.May be i should return the motherboard or throw it away it still may be cheaper to buy new mobo.
