It's Raining Lenovo Notebooks

Following hot on the heels of Sony and Toshiba, Lenovo too has unveiled a new lineup of laptops.
While Sony and Toshiba have announced their new laptop lineups, Lenovo has added to the mayhem by unveiling their new Centrino 2-powered IdeaPad and ThinkPad notebook lines. Lenovo has boosted the IdeaPad line by adding new models: Y530, Y430, Y730 and U330 with similar designs.
The IdeaPad U330 scores over its predecessor U110 with 13.3-inch screen, Centrino 2 CPU, HDMI support and optional built-in Blu-ray drive. The Y series models Y430 (14.1 inch screen), Y530 (15.1 inch screen) and Y730 (17.1 inch) with the same configuration have WXGA, WXGA and WXUGA resolutions. The Y430 relies on integrated graphics, while Y530 gets NVIDIA NB9M GS 256MB graphics support and the Y730 sports ATI M86 ME 512MB graphics with dual 320GB hot-swappable drive support. All these new notebooks will be powered by Intel Centrino-2.
The new ThinkPad lines get four new refreshed models in SL, R, T, X and W series. The SL series gets SL300, SL400 and SL500 specifically targeted at the Small-Medium Businesses touting high-speed mobile broadband connectivity with 3G capabilities, multimedia support with an optional Blu-ray drive. The SL300 model is also available with LED backlit display and glossy back cover, which gives it the ThinkPad-like performer look.
The rest of the ThinkPad Line up includes: R400, R500, T400, T500, X200 and W500. Of these, ThinkPad X200 is an ultra-portable notebook with lighter design, and larger keyboard to optimize productivity and portability.
The W500 is the new class of mobile workstation models offering Open-GL performance with mobility. The T series models T400 & T500 sport switchable graphics support and Display Port. Lenovo is pushing built-in 3G chip modules in company's "standard models", GPS functionality and solid state drives (SSD) as storage options in its new and existing product lines.
Besides pepped-up hardware and refreshed design, the new laptops also equip Lenovo Care Tools that includes Lenovo's Access Connections, Client Security Solutions, Rescue and Recovery, Presentation Director and System Update as part of software and services.
ThinkPad SL400 and SL500 notebooks are priced at $799 while others will be available from early August. The prices of the other models will range from $899 for the ThinkPad SL300 notebook to $1,999 for the ThinkPad W500 notebook.

Lenovo is in Bhed Chaal, with other manufacturers, introducing Centrino 2 in laptops. Guys introduce high performance yet low cost laptops on AMD PUMA and win in Indian Market. Who needs expensive laptops just because they are marked Centrino2- which is just a marketing exercise by the great Satan Intel.
