Intex has introduced its IN 2020, a user-friendly mobile phone that claims a long-life battery with a stand-by time of 25 days.
Intex has introduced its IN 2020, a user-friendly mobile phone that claims a long-life battery with a stand-by time of 25 days, and non-stop conversation for up to seven and a half hours.
The phone is, of course, targeted at those who spend long hours on their mobile making and receiving calls. Intex claims the IN 2020 is possibly the first mobile phone in the market with such a high battery capacity. Possibly a corollary of this feature is that users don't have to charge the phone on an everyday basis. Also included are features like a blacklist facility and a phone book memory of 500 numbers.
There's also a unique feature called "Make your song your ring tone", wherein users can record up to two songs in five minutes, making those songs their ring tones. The phone comes with pre-loaded sing tones from Tips Industries' Top 20 songs listing, eight games, and twin language support to allow menu display and messaging in Hindi as well as English.

how it is possible , give us the battery details about capacity etc

Battery feature looks attractive! Any plan of CDMA version (e.g. reliance CDMA)?

Battery capacity has not been indicated- to have talk time of 7.5 hours in India- this fone will have to have at least a 1500 MAh. battery. Does this fone have a this kinda battery- mostly long talk time claims are just that much air.!!

Its good for those who use mobile as phone only. and if u use mobile as phone only 7 days backup is already with nokia. So battery backup lasting worthy if playing song and listening FM also included.

The phone looks good. Its good at least some companies are making phones instead of trying to sell it on back of not so useful (if not useless) issues like music, camera , etc etc etc. The phone is actually a phone with good battery life which is very very useful in India. Though its yet to be seen if this thing works. Because anyways now a days advertisements sell (read as Shah Rukh Khan sells) more products than the actual features of the commodities. We need some intelectually stimulated products as we are not some blonde bimbos.

how about TT doing a review of this phone ... the companies press release seems to promise too much ... another observation .... long battery life and everything .. but not too many special features ???? FM bhaiya ... where is the FM ?? FM phone for 2 K ... or non FM phone for 2 K ??? easy choice eh ???

Impressive features for the price it will be sold at. The looks too are elegant. How soon will it be available in Chennai?

There are other cellphones available at even lower prices e.g. LG/MOTO. Nobody would spend 2k on some newcomer brand.

The concept is solid..i.e. Intex is trying to actually give the consumer value instead of trying to tell him what he wants. Whether they can pull it off remains to be seen. Everything in this concept depends on battery. Unless they have a tie up with some good battery company or are using some revolutionary battery, it would be hard to get a standby time of 25 days. Neverthless, this could pave the way for a new ideology in no nonsense mobile phones.

People have realised that Battery life is more essential than fancy options. But the other greater realisation that reception is equally important does not seem to have impressed companies. Any takers?
