Internet to Aid Global Power Crisis

The convergence of Internet and Power networks, www.connectgaia.com, is reportedly a viable solution to the global energy and environment crisis.

KLG Systel Limited, a US $100 million company, based out of Gurgaon, has launched a worldwide revolutionary intelligent network, www.connectgaia.com, which according to company sources, is India's answer to the global energy crisis.

The convergence of Internet and Power networks, www.connectgaia.com, is reportedly a viable solution to the global energy and environment crisis. Apart from India, this solution will be available in the USA, China, South East Asia, and Europe.

Power is vital to development, however prevailing methods of power production are irrevocably affecting the ecosystem. The world is facing a major energy crisis, and the outlook for the next 20 years is grim.

A viable solution is necessary to support fragile ecosystems, and cause minimum impact to the environment. The need of the hour is an integrated, interactive, and robust power delivery system that ensures secure and reliable power, a solution that not only enables users view and manage their energy consumption, but also empowers them to optimize their usage. According to KLG, www.connectgaia.com facilitates efficient energy management, saving on the use of electricity while contributing to a less polluted tomorrow.

KLG sources said an Internet platform like www.connectgaia.com would pool dispersed and diverse resources, and enable the evolution of a power generation, transmission, and distribution network that is flexible, accessible, reliable, and economical. Such a network would communicate with and be in complete synergy with nature. Besides, by virtue of being a Web solution, it would be available to the entire world.

As per KLG sources, customers can log in to a secure account anytime from anywhere, and quickly view concise charts to pinpoint energy consumption trends. Via a secure Web page, users could switch on/off their lights, ACs, and other equipment from remote locations.

The company claims www.connectgaia.com would help save on resources, costs, and total amount of energy spent. With www.connectgaia.com, every Megawatt of energy saved would be a Megawatt of energy earned.

Kumud Goel, Managing Director of KLG Systel Limited, said, "The current energy and environment crisis is a result of our unending quest for 'development'. But we have come to a point where it is not development we are facing, but destruction. What kind of an environment are we creating for our children. While governments debate on alternative energy sources and global warming, we waste precious time. There is only one way forward for us - let us join hands and optimize our electricity consumption, and give back to Gaia what it continues to give us - energy and life!"

www.connectgaia.com is reportedly built on IBM's tested and proven communication protocols, and database and middleware technologies. It works through one or more intelligent devices installed at the customers' premises, and does not require installing any software.
