Intel Launches New Embedded SoC

The Tolapai is Intel's first foray into mobile and embedded systems.
In a bid to compete with ARM, Intel has launched its new embedded x86 system-on-a-chip (SoC) today. The new SoC platform is known as the Intel EP80579 Integrated Processor Family, codenamed Tolapai.
This new SoC is Intel's first foray into the mobile and embedded systems, by which Intel refers to its category of mobile Internet devices.
