IT distributor Inspan Infotech has unveiled two Mercury LCD TV Boxes -- Mercury EZ View LCD TV Box and Mercury EZ View USB TV Box. These stand-alone TV tuner boxes allow you to watch TV programming directly on your computer monitor, without using the PC. You can also connect a gaming console or other A/V device and speakers for use as a Hi-Fi center.


Mercury EZ View LCD TV Box turns your LCD, CRT monitor, plasma display or projector, any device that has a VGA input connector devices into a multimedia center with small desktop space. With a built-in TV tuner and multiple video ports, you can connect DVD players, digital video cameras, VCRs or even game consoles to your PC. It comes with Picture-in-Picture facility and the hardware includes a remote control.


Mercury EZ View USB TV Box is a mini worldwide TV stand alone analogue USB TV Box that turns your laptop/desktop into a portable Digital Multimedia center. Users can utilize this Analogue TV entertainment whenever you like and wherever you go with the freedom to capture the entire video source directly to VCD/DVD file.

Mercury EZ View LCD TV Box comes with one year warranty for Rs. 2,500 and is available in the markets currently. However, the price of Mercury EZ View USB TV Box is not yet disclosed and it will be launched in end-May, the company told Techtree.

The pricing is very bad......i got a similar device from nehru place for rs 600....umax tvision i donno if its as popular but works perfectly on my 15inch monitor with tatasky and computer both connected to it and is easy to switch b/w both or even the tv tuner with 1 button with the remote......it also has inbulit speakers which are useless but still ...... and its got small small things like alarm clock.....calculator and a dumb puzzle game.....totally worth 6-700 ... whos gonna pay 2500 for the same thing......if you want the shop/phone no.. and all i got the bill so lemme know...

Just what i was looking for, now only if the signal quality was something to talk about and the input output quality of AV.
