Indian Idol Auditions on Airtel

The mobile auditions for Sony TV's Indian Idol 2, is available exclusively to Airtel subscribers.
Close on the heels of exclusive access to Kaun Banega Crorepati 2's "fastest finger first", Airtel has added another feather to its cap, by introducing mobile auditions for the eagerly-awaited Indian Idol 2 to be aired on Sony Television.
The mobile auditions for Indian Idol 2, is available exclusively to Airtel subscribers. The modus operandi is simple; customers have to simply call 646 and sing a song and they could be the lucky ones to meet the judges of Indian Idol 2. Moreover, they can re-record their song till they are satisfied with their performance. Interestingly, this facility is not available to aspiring singers, who actually go for the normal auditions. Also, any number of Airtel customers can register their entries/songs, using the same mobile phone.
With this move Airtel claims, that it has carried the link between the entertainment industry and consumers, to the next "big level". Earlier there was no such direct communication between the Pashas of entertainment and the "aam aadmi", says the company. Significantly, Airtel maintains that this is the first time ever in the world that auditions for an extremely popular show have been made possible on mobile phones.
Selection will be conducted by a special team at Sony Entertainment Television, who will go through each and every Airtel recording. Selected candidates will go to the next level and get a chance to meet the judges of Indian Idol 2 directly, in the city of their choice (selection available from 4 cities).
In this manner, a total of 1000 participants will be chosen on the basis of their phone auditions, by the producers of the show. From these, as many as 975 participants will get to audition in the city of their choice, while the remaining 25 people will get to leap-frog the nitty-gritties and audition directly in front of the jury. Selection will be at the sole discretion of Sony Entertainment Television. Auditions are on for Airtel subscribers till October 15, 2005.
Hemant Sachdev, group chief marketing officer and director - mobility, Bharti tele-ventures said, "Our recent innovative marketing initiatives with mass based programs like KBC 2 and Indian Idol, reflect our strategic desire to deliver special opportunities only to Airtel customers."
"The idea is to get Airtel customers to feel empowered and emerge winners. We hope that Airtel customers will go on to win in programs like KBC and Indian Idol and help build a powerful Airtel community" added Sachdev.
According to an industry observer, "Value-added services are now becoming a sustainable source of revenue, for telecom operators. Services like the current one being offered by Bharti i.e. auditions over mobile phones for Sony TV's Indian Idol, is one more innovative step in this direction."

ya delhi auditions are over , maine jaipur main apne friend ko is bare main contact kiya hai vo jald hi reply dega,jaise pata chalega to reply karonga ambala se jane vale koi oor bhi log hai jo jaipur auditions ke liye jana chate hain mujhe mere mob no par contact kare i.e. 9466392061. do not worry auditions dene to jayenge hi ,karbo, larbo ,jitbore
