Hendrix Experience on Guitar Hero

Techtree News Staff, Jul 18, 2008 1653 hrs IST

Incidentally the original "Guitar Hero" featured Hendrix's "Spanish Castle Magic" but only as a cover version and sans vocals.

After Van Halen and The Eagles, Activision has managed to snuck up tracks by music great Jimi Hendrix for its "Guitar Hero: World Tour".

Looks like the initial list will include two Hendrix songs (live version/s), "Purple Haze" and "Wind Cries Mary"; with more to be made available as download-able content after launch.

Incidentally the original "Guitar Hero" featured Hendrix's "Spanish Castle Magic", albeit as a cover version sans vocals.

In another "Guitar Hero" related announcement, "Guitar Hero: World Tour" will not only support instruments from rival "Rock Band" but will also recognize and make adjustments for them. Gamespot gets you the dope on this one.
