Health Apps on iPhone

Apple iPhone is not just a phone -- take care of your health with the apps available
The most popular mobile phone till date, the iPhone, offers a number of apps that are not just limited to poker games, restaurant finders and light saber simulators but also has some handful of apps focusing on health, reports TechNewsWorld.
There are some noteworthy programs available for iPhone that focus on user's health including keeping a check on diet and medical records. Users can actually check digital images of ultrasounds and echocardiograms on this phone.
One such application is My Life Record that allows users to access and share medical imaging, charts, medications and even lab results via the iPhone. This application would come handy, if the user has to travel to another city with an injury. He/she would not have to rely on two hospital or doctors to communicate with each other. Instead, the reports can be simply shared on the iPhone.
Some other health application available on iTunes includes ePocrates, a searchable database of medications, dosages and interactions on handheld devices; MyNetDiary, a food and exercise diary and weight loss program useful for analyzing and planning the diet and get personalized nutrition guidelines; and another one from iTunes is Netter's Anatomy that allows users to carry more than 300 fully annotated images of the human body on their iPhone.
Apart from these iTunes apps, there are also some web apps such as iPharmacy, a generic and name-brand drug database offering thousands of drug descriptions, dosage, symptoms and side effects; the pocket first aid guide, a custom-designed for the iPhone; and the 911 Help application designed to draw attention while stuck in a car or lift and your voice is not reachable to others.
Though most of these applications are now available only on iPhone, we might just get to see them on Google Android based phones as well.
