Google is in talks with West Bengal government to promote Bengali culture, by hosting Bengali literary works on Google Books and popular Bengali films on YouTube.
Aficionados of Bengali culture will soon be able to use Google to search for literary works by illustrious writers hailing from the region. Also, the Internet giant is planning to host Bengali movies on its video-sharing website YouTube.
According to a press release, West Bengal IT Minister Debesh Das has been quoted saying Google has expressed interest to include Bengali classical literature and movies in its web-based applications.
