Google: Shop is Shut for Dinner

In cost-cutting mode, Google takes evening meals off the menu for employees.
If you have friends working at Google, you'd probably have heard them raving about it being "the best place to work". Apart from the working environment, the free meals for employees are a major source of satisfaction at Google. However, Google employees may be in for a change with reports suggesting that the evening meal may soon be off the menu.
Breakfast and lunch will continue to be served as usual.
A Google employee told Valleywag, "Google has drastically cut back their budget on the culinary program. How is it affecting campus? No more dinner. No more tea trolley. No more snack attack in the afternoon."
Why is Google in cost-cutting mode all of a sudden?
It is speculated that the cause of the "miss-a-meal" was a result of Google handing over its kitchens to an agency called Bon Appetit. Reportedly, the two found plenty of reasons to clash. Moreover, star executive chefs like Nate Keller and Josef Desimone left some time ago, with the latter taking other chefs along with him to Facebook.
Perhaps Google wants its employees to wrap up work early and enjoy dinner with family?
