Google Apps to Power Sify

Sify has entered into a partnership with Google to power Sify's consumer apps like mail, chat and other applications with Google Apps.
In a new partnership deal, Sify has decided to collaborate with Google to power Sify's consumer apps like mail, chat and other applications with Google Apps.
In addition, Google's Apps suite of communication and collaboration tools, including email, chat and online documents will become a part of Sify in the coming months.
Pluggd.in reports that the reason behind Sify partnering with Google is to replace its older system with a new one without having to build new infrastructure. Another reason is that renting Google Apps will help Sify provide a useful service to its customers.
After this news, Sify has redesigned the site and the new design is similar to Yahoo's, says Medianama.
