For Dolphin/Trump customers, the telecom major is presenting a 'Lucky Draw Gold Bonanza' wherein customers can win prizes including up to 400 gms of Gold and 100 other consolation prizes.

With Diwali almost here, MTNL has announced a slew of schemes for its customers.

For Dolphin/Trump customers, the telecom major is presenting a 'Lucky Draw Gold Bonanza' wherein customers can win prizes including up to 400 gms of Gold and 100 other consolation prizes.

To participate in this scheme, MTNL subscribers need to SMS GOLD to 54321 for which they will get an acknowledgement. With charges per SMS being Rs 6, customers can send multiple SMSs. The offer is on till November 11th, 2007, and winners will be announced by November 15th, 2007. The first prize is 250 gms of Gold, the second prize (two) is 50 gms of Gold each, and the third prize (5) is 10 gms of Gold each. Hundred subscribers will each get a consolation prize of Rs 1,000 worth free talk time in the form of either a recharge coupon or a bill adjustment.

Meanwhile, MTNL Delhi is offering a 'free Trump Jeevansaathi prepaid mobile connection' with lifetime validity for MTNL landline customers. Those MTNL landline customers who've paid at least Rs 500 in any one month's bill in the past three monthly bills are eligible to avail the offer. The SIM card is available for free (normal cost Rs 475) with lifetime validity and initial free talk time of Rs 50. This scheme is open from Nov 5th to 30th. The SIM can be obtained from Sanchaar Haat on producing the paid telephone bill as proof.

MTNL is also launching the 'prepaid Garuda mobile Jeevansaathi Scheme', for which the connection can be taken on RUIM (SIM) and handset. The activation charges are Rs 100. The local pulse rate will be 15 seconds; call rate (per pulse) to MTNL network will be Rs 0.15, to other local networks, including BSNL NCR, will be Rs 0.30; and STD charges will be Rs 1.75 per minute. SMS charges per message will be Rs 0.50 (local), Re 1 (STD), and Rs 4 (ISD). Recharge coupons or top-ups will be available for Rs 100 with a talk value of Rs 110, Rs 300 with talk value of Rs 350. This offer is on till November 30th.

MTNL is also re-launching its 1+1 Landline Scheme for landline subscribers of Plan 250 and above (including Combo Plan 249). Landline subscribers of MTNL, whose connection is at least six months old can take and additional landline connection with zero monthly rental, zero security deposit, and zero installation charges. Call charges will be Rs 1.20 per pulse. This scheme is available till November 19th.

Another newbie is MTNL's 'Garuda FW Super Economy Plan', with activation charges of Rs 500, and a monthly rental of Rs 100. There's also a free call allowance of Rs 100 to calls on the local MTNL network. Under this plan, local call charges (per minute) to MTNL networks will be Rs 0.40; to other networks Rs 0.60; and to BSNL NCR Rs 0.40. STD charges will be Rs 2.00 per minute, while SMS charges per message will be Rs 0.10 (local), Rs 0.50 (STD), and Rs 2.50 (ISD).

The Internet tariff for the CDMA Delhi Network has also been revised by MTNL. Unlimited monthly Internet usage on any Garuda mobile or FWP Plan has been reduced from Rs 600 to Rs 300. Volume-based usage charges on Garuda mobile have been reduced from Rs 0.20 per 100 KB to Rs 0.10 per 100 KB. For FW, volume-based charges have been reduced to Rs 0.10 per 100 KB from Rs 0.30 per 100 KB. Customers of MTNL's 'Unlimited Plan' will be offered unlimited Internet at a monthly rental of Rs 50 as a promotional offer for three months.
