Genius has introduced its SlimStar 310, a water-proof, anti-bacterial multimedia keyboard.
The SlimStar 310 - according to Genius, has been dipped in anti-bacterial solution so as to ward-off any kind of hemorrhagic or staphylococcus aureus occurring on the keyboard.
SlimStar 310 sports 14 one-touch hotkeys electroplated in a silver-coating finish, that offer media center control, Internet freedom, office functions, and instant messaging through MSN.
Sandeep Ramani, country manager (India), KYE Systems, said, "This keyboard has been designed to the fact that people enjoy having food and beverage while working on their PC. Very often we see either coffee or water spilt over their keyboard, and all of a sudden it becomes a bad experience for them. But this new Genius keyboard gives you the ultimate freedom of working, while having your food and beverage because it is truly water-proof. Your keyboard will be completely stain-free, without causing any damage to its functionality."
The Genius SlimStar 310 is priced at Rs 1,750, and will be available through Transtek Infoways (authorized distributors for Genius).
In another announcement, Genius detailed its country-specific plans which include seminars and road-shows in B and C class cities, its retail-strategy, and introduction of new products.
As part of its retail plan, Genius said it would shortly open around 40 retail stores across metros and non-metros in the country.
