Microsoft and Razer have partnered to launch a gaming mouse, the Microsoft Habu, a high-tech wonder that will reportedly take PC gaming to newer heights.

Microsoft and Razer, world's leading brand in high-end computer gaming peripherals, have partnered to launch a gaming mouse, the Microsoft Habu, a high-tech wonder that will take PC gaming to newer heights.

It can be cited as a bundle of cutting-edge innovation and industry-leading gaming technology. The Microsoft Habu gaming mouse will allow gamers to experience PC gaming with innovative features and superior comfort. Powered by Razer Precision, the Habu features an advanced 2,000 DPI laser sensor resulting virtually no skipping, pixel jumping, or negative acceleration.

Additionally, it has interchangeable side button panels providing the gamers with two options for various hand sizes and preferences. Along with on-the-fly DPI, it has seven programmable buttons. It has on-board profile memory to be able to store up to five game control profiles.

Robert Krakoff, president, Razer said, "We are thrilled to partner with Microsoft to combine form and function in order to deliver the best gaming products possible. We will truly elevate the quality and overall gaming experience for our customers."

Bill Jukes, product marketing manager, Microsoft Hardware, Microsoft, said, "We believe that Microsoft Habu specifically addresses the demands of today's PC gamers, and its versatility, comfort, and performance will benefit gamers of every genre."

Microsoft Habu will be widely available in October 2006 for an estimated retail price of $69.95 (U.S.)

Incidentally, Microsoft Hardware and Razer plan to announce another co-branded next-generation gaming product soon.

I've been gaming for a long time and know a ton of gamers and we are always discussing different equipment, Razer wouldn't be the one most consider the "high-end of gaming". 2000 DPI? nothing new, 7 programmable buttons? nothing new Why is it that some people only consider it "new" unless MS slaps its name on it?

Hi i read your comments about the Microsoft +Razor Habu mouse. Which company do you think makes pretty good professional gaming mouse ? You heard of the Steel Series Mouse ? Any opinions on that ? I hear its good, but wanted to concern another fellow gamer too.
