Four Nikon Coolpix S-Series Cameras Launched

Nikon has expanded its Coolpix S-Series of point and shoot cameras with four new models, the S3000, the S4000, the S6000 and the S8000.
The Nikon S8000 is a 14.2 megapixel camera with 10x optical zoom and a 3-inch, 921k dot LCD display, all in a slim 27.1mm body, which is the thinnest in its class. The S8000 can also record videos in 720p HD resolution and has a 4-way VR image stabilization system. The S8000 will be sold in four colors, Black, Red, Champagne Silver and Bronze. The Nikon S8000 will be available in U.S. starting this month for $299.95 MSRP (Rs. 13,988 approx.).
The Nikon S6000 has a 14.2 megapixel sensor and a wide angle NIKKOR ED glass lens with 7x optical zoom. It also has 2.7-inch LCD display, 720p video recording ability and 4-way VR Image Stabilization. The S6000 will be sold in four colors, Black, Red, Champagne Silver and Bronze. The Nikon S6000 will be available in U.S. starting March for $249.95 MSRP (Rs. 11,656 approx.).
The Nikon S4000 has a 12 megapixel sensor with a wide angle NIKKOR ED glass lens with 4x optical zoom. It has a 3.0-inch Bright Touch HVGA display, 720p HD resolution video recording and 4-way VR Image Stabilization. The S6000 will be sold in five colors, Black, Red, Champagne Silver, Pink and Plum. The Nikon S4000 will be available in U.S. starting March for $199.95 MSRP (Rs. 9,323 approx.)
The Nikon S3000 has a 12 megapixel sensor with a wide angle NIKKOR ED glass lens with 4x optical zoom. It has a 2.7-inch LCD display, VGA resolution video recording and 4-way VR Image Stabilization. The S6000 will be sold in six colors, Black, Blue, Champagne Silver, Green, Orange and Plum. The Nikon S4000 will be available in U.S. starting March for $149.95 MSRP (Rs. 6,992 approx.)
The Indian pricing and availability of these cameras is not known yet.
