Meant mainly for family playing, the initial set of Hasbro casual games includes Littlest Pet Shop, NERF N-Strike, Monopoly, Scrabble, and Yahtzee.
Electronic Arts (EA) has announced development of the first set of Hasbro games for various gaming consoles and mobile devices, and for online play.
Meant mainly for family playing, the initial set of Hasbro casual games includes Littlest Pet Shop, NERF N-Strike, Monopoly, Scrabble, and Yahtzee.
The first two games, Littlest Pet Shop and Nerf N-Strike, presently under development for two consoles, the Nintendo Wii and the DS, will be available this Fall. A PC edition of Littlest Pet Shop is also in the works.
Littlest Pet Shop allows players to run their own pet stores, building relationships with their products and unlocking new animals, accessories, and playsets. Whereas Nerf N-Strike is on the lines of soft foam-firing toy guns.
The company is also developing new Monopoly and Scrabble titles for multiple platforms, as well as some other titles that will be announced later this year.
Meanwhile, even mobile gamers can experience the fun of Scrabble and Yahtzee Deluxe on their phones. Starting this Spring, EA Mobile will introduce the next generation of classic Hasbro titles, including Monopoly Here and Now, Trivial Pursuit, RISK, and Yahtzee Adventures (a re-invention of the classic dice game).
For online Web play, EA's Pogo.com is developing Monopoly and Yahtzee as fun, multi-player experiences. Trivia fans can look forward to the much-anticipated launch of Trivial Pursuit this Fall.
Additionally, Pogo.com is launching two connected downloadable titles, Operation and Pictureka that can be played offline or online.
