Nokia announced the launch of a new challenge for the developer community. The company has invited developers around the world to develop innovative applications or widgets with three distinct themes.
Eco-challenge
Emerging market challenge
Technology showcase
The applications should be aimed at tackling real world challenges and issues that are of prime importance now.
Interested developers can submit their entries online, and if selected will get a chance to be evaluated amongst the world's best.
The winner from Asia for each category will receive USD 10,000 as cash prize, a Nokia N95 8GB device, and last but not the least, a sponsored trip to Barcelona to showcase their winning application during the Mobile World Congress in 2009. For developers from India, there is also a Rs.200,000 bonus that's up for grabs!
