Dell Teases With New Precision Mobile Workstations

Dell's Precision notebooks, carrying quad-core mobile chips, up to 16GB DDR3 RAM, dedicated 1GB graphics memory, and dual HDD of 500GB each, is targeted at extreme high-processing power-seeking users such as multimedia professionals.

Dell has quietly revealed the new Precision series mobile workstation notebooks on their company site. The new Precision models will add M6400, M4400 and M2400 to their lineup.

On a page branded No Compromise, a Dell video teases that the Precision notebooks will carry quad-core mobile chips, up to a whopping 16GB of DDR3 RAM, dedicated 1GB graphics memory, and enormous dual HDD (500GB each) support upto 1TB. Targeting extreme high-processing power-seeking users such as multimedia professionals, the new Precision mobile workstations config makes anyone sit up and take notice.

The 15.4-inch M4400 model features Intel Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Extreme Edition processor support, Nvidia Quadro FX 770M graphics card with 512MB dedicated memory, dual channel memory slots offering upto 8GB and its price starts at $1569.

While 14.1-inch M2400 features Intel Core 2 Duo support, Nvidia Quadro FX 370M graphics card with 256 dedicated memory, dual channel slots for up to 8GB RAM, and its price starts from $1449. The Precision lineup is expected to launch in September this year.
