Weighs a mere 75g

Update: India pricing

Creative has launched its very first touch screen multimedia player, the Creative Zen X-Fi2. The player was introduced at the IFA Consumer Electronics Show on Sept. 2 in Berlin, Germany.

Measuring 102 x 57 x 11.6mm and weighing a mere 75g, the Zen X-Fi2 media player features a 3-inch TFT LCD touch screen with multi-format support including iTunes Plus and FLAC (lossless) files; video files in WMV9, MPEG4-SP, DivX 4/5 and XviD formats.

The Zen X-Fi2 is the successor to the X-Fi player launched by Creative in August 2008. Apart from being slimmer from its predecessor, the new player implements the company's X-Fi sound technology, a bigger display with touch screen capabilities, a microSD slot, and a TV out connector. TV-out capability enables playback of movies and pictures on a large screen, and users can also sync and download RSS feeds and read them offline on the media player.

The player comes with a built-in speaker, built-in microphone for voice recording as well as a built-in FM radio with 32 presets.
Sporting an ultra slim exterior with an elegant look in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB models and with exciting price points,
The Creative Zen X-Fi2 has been priced at Rs. 17, 990 for the 32GB model, Rs. 14, 990 for the 16GB model and Rs. 11, 490 for the 8GB model.

The India availability of this player isn't known yet.

Why has this thing not yet launched? TT please let us know when this thing launches & the correct prices. Your prices seem way too high. 18k for 32GB is insane it should be 12k.

Yes!! Finally!!! whoop di doo! Perfect Player in every department..FLAC support CHECK! Tv-out Check! Just 1 thing should be important it should play Xvid Files natively!! No Damn Conversion should be needed like the Zen Vision M & W. This player will be a killer. Side Notes - H.264 support not supported is a shocker BUT Xvid is not going anywhere as per torrent support So Yeah not a big deal. So it's this player v/s Cowon S9 v/s Zune HD. Cowon S9 could get a successor Not to mention Cowon's firmware is buggy as hell and who the hell wants to update their firmware every 3 months just to fix stability issues GIVE ME A BREAK! Zune HD sounds cool BUT as far as news sources go it will require Zune software for syncing ala crapTunes. So automatic failure in that curve. If Zune HD does indeed support syncing with Media Player 11 in windows 7 then count me in for Zune HD. But all said None of my wishlist would seem to be true for S9 or Zune HD so Creative is the one to GO FOR!
